The V.A.C.ULTA ™ treatment system is an integrated wound management system that offers an instillation option for negative pressure wound treatment.
The purpose of negative pressure wound treatment without instillation is to create the environment which facilitates wound recovery by secondary or tertiary intention through preparation of the wound bed for closure, reduction of edema, formation and perfusion of granulation tissue, and clearance of exudate and infectious materials. The instillation option is designed for patients who is suitable for drainage assisted with vacuum and controlled delivery of local wound solutions and suspensions over the wound bed.
