Analysis of ADORA1 Gene (Mutation) by RT-qPCR (CAT#: STEM-MT-0768-LGZ)

Introduction

Official Full Name: adenosine A1 receptor
Also known as: RDC7
The protein encoded by this gene is an adenosine receptor that belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor 1 family. There are three types of adenosine receptors, each with a specific pattern of ligand binding and tissue distribution, which collectively regulate a range of different physiological functions. Type A1 receptors inhibit adenylyl cyclase and play a role in fertilization. Animal studies also suggest a role for A1 receptors in renal function and alcoholism. Transcript variants with alternative splicing were found in the 5' UTR of this gene.

Principle

Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) is an experimental method applied to PCR experiments using RNA as the starting material. In this method, total or messenger RNA (mRNA) is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase. Subsequently, qPCR reaction was performed using cDNA as template.

Applications

Gene mutation analysis.

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
4. Data analysis.
