Analysis of α-Amylase and β-Amylase Activity by Enzyme-labeled Instrument (CAT#: STEM-MB-1416-LGZ)

Introduction

Sensitivity: 0.008 U/mL
Detection range: 0.01-0.37 U/mL
Precision: inter-lot difference of 3.6%, intra-lot difference of 2.8%
Detection equipment: Enzyme-labeled Instrument
Detection wavelength: 535-540 nm

Principle

Amylase can hydrolyze starch into various reducing sugars, and the reducing sugars react with 3, 5-dinitrosalicylic acid under heating conditions to produce brownish-red substances. The color development has a linear relationship with product concentration within a certain range. The amylase activity can be calculated by product yield.

Applications

For the determination of amylase activity in serum, plasma, saliva, animal and plant tissue samples.

Procedure

1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples.
2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction.
3. Measure the absorbance of each tube.
4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.

Materials

• Sample Type: serum, plasma, saliva, animal and plant tissue samples
