Analysis of Choline Acetyltransferase (ChAT) by Ultraviolet-visible Spectrophotometer (CAT#: STEM-MB-1354-LGZ)

Introduction

Sensitivity: 1.21U/g
Detection range: 1.21-40 U/g
Precision: inter-lot difference of 9.199999999999999%, intra-lot difference of 5%
Detection equipment: Ultraviolet-visible Spectrophotometer
Detection wavelength: 324 nm

Principle

Acetylcholintransferase (ChAT) takes acetyl-coA and choline as substrate to produce CoA (CoA). CoA combines with color developing agent 4, 4-dithiopyridine. Absorbance is measured at 324nm to calculate the activity of ChAT.

Applications

Used to detect ChAT activity in various animal tissues.

Procedure

1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples.
2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction.
3. Measure the absorbance of each tube.
4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.

Materials

• Sample Type: various animal tissues
