CCL27 is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family, also known as Skinkine, ESkine and CTACK. The CCL27 gene is located on human chromosome 9, which is related to memory T lymphocytes homing on the skin and plays an important role in T cell-mediated skin inflammation. CCL27 is expressed in many tissues including gonads, thymus, placenta and skin.
