Analysis of Ethanol by Enzyme-labeled Instrument (CAT#: STEM-MB-1383-LGZ)

Introduction

Sensitivity: 0.27 μmol/mL
Detection range: 0.27–10.0 μmol/mL
Precision: inter-lot difference of 5%, intra-lot difference of 3.5%
Detection equipment: Enzyme-labeled Instrument
Detection wavelength: 440-460 nm

Principle

Ethanol is oxidatively dehydrogenated under the catalysis of alcohol dehydrogenase to generate acetaldehyde. At the same time, NAD+ is reduced to generate NADH. Under the action of 1-mPMS, the orange color of WST-8 can be determined by the change of absorbance value at 450 nm.

Applications

Suitable for detection of ethanol content in serum (plasma), alcohol and other liquids.

Procedure

1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples.
2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction.
3. Measure the absorbance of each tube.
4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.

Materials

• Sample Type: serum (plasma), alcohol and other liquids
