Analysis of Nannochloropsis Oceanica CCMP1779 by RT-qPCR (CAT#: STEM-MT-0066-LGZ)

Introduction

In order to promote the photosynthetic reaction and biomass production of microalgae in the environment of 15% CO2 in coal-fired flue gas, a genetic mutation adaptive microalgae growth system centered on cell light response was established through CO2 gradient domestication. The microalgae Nannochloropsis oceanica CCMP1779 was gradually acclimated to 0.04%, 3%, 6%, 10% and 12% CO2 to obtain strains with a dominant adaptation to CO2.

Principle

Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) is an experimental method applied to PCR experiments using RNA as the starting material. In this method, total or messenger RNA (mRNA) is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase. Subsequently, qPCR reaction was performed using cDNA as template.

Applications

Self-Adaptive Microalgal Growth System With Gene Mutation

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
4. Data analysis.
