Analysis of NR4A2 Gene (Mutation) by RT-qPCR (CAT#: STEM-MT-1478-LGZ)

Introduction

Official Full Name: nuclear receptor subfamily 4 group A member 2
Also known as: NOT; RNR1; HZF-3; IDLDP; NURR1; TINUR
This gene encodes a member of the steroid-thyroid hormone-retinoid receptor superfamily. The encoded protein can act as a transcription factor. Mutations in this gene have been linked to disorders associated with dopaminergic dysfunction, including Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, and manic-depressive disorder. Dysregulation of this gene may be associated with rheumatoid arthritis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, but their biological validity has not been determined.

Principle

Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) is an experimental method applied to PCR experiments using RNA as the starting material. In this method, total or messenger RNA (mRNA) is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase. Subsequently, qPCR reaction was performed using cDNA as template.

Applications

Parkinson disease, late-onset

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
4. Data analysis.
