Introduction

Official Full Name: proliferation and apoptosis adaptor protein 15<br />Also known as: PED; MAT1; HMAT1; MAT1H; PEA-15; HUMMAT1H; PED-PEA15; PED/PEA15<br />This gene encodes a protein containing a death effector domain, which functions as a negative regulator of apoptosis. The encoded protein is an endogenous substrate of protein kinase c. This protein is also overexpressed in type 2 diabetes and may lead to insulin resistance in glucose uptake. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.




Principle

Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) is an experimental method applied to PCR experiments using RNA as the starting material. In this method, total or messenger RNA (mRNA) is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase. Subsequently, qPCR reaction was performed using cDNA as template.

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
