Analysis of RNH1 Gene (Mutation) by RT-qPCR (CAT#: STEM-MT-2130-LGZ)

Introduction

Official Full Name: ribonuclease/angiogenin inhibitor 1
Also known as: RAI; RNH
Placental ribonuclease inhibitor (PRI) is a member of the family of protein cytoplasmic RNase inhibitors, present in many tissues, and binds to intracellular and extracellular RNases. In addition to controlling intracellular RNases, this inhibitor may also have a role in regulating angiogenin. 50,000 Da RNase Inhibitor binds RNase and renders it latent. Since neutral and alkaline ribonucleases may play key roles in the turnover of RNA in eukaryotic cells, RNH may be critical for the control of mRNA turnover; eukaryotic interactions with ribonucleases may be reversible in vivo.

Principle

Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) is an experimental method applied to PCR experiments using RNA as the starting material. In this method, total or messenger RNA (mRNA) is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase. Subsequently, qPCR reaction was performed using cDNA as template.

Applications

Gene mutation analysis.

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
4. Data analysis.
