Analysis of RSC1A1 Gene (Mutation) by RT-qPCR (CAT#: STEM-MT-1408-LGZ)

Introduction

Official Full Name: regulator of solute carriers 1
Also known as: RS1
The protein encoded by this intronless gene inhibits the expression of the solute carrier family 5 (sodium/glucose cotransporter), member 1 gene (SLC5A1) and downregulates exocytosis of the SLC5A1 protein. The encoded protein is sometimes found coating the trans-Golgi network and other times is localized to the nucleus, depending on the cell cycle stage. This protein also inhibits the expression of solute carrier family 22 (organic cation transporter), member 2 (SLC22A2).

Principle

Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) is an experimental method applied to PCR experiments using RNA as the starting material. In this method, total or messenger RNA (mRNA) is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase. Subsequently, qPCR reaction was performed using cDNA as template.

Applications

Gene mutation analysis.

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
4. Data analysis.
