Analysis of TAS1R1 Gene (Mutation) by RT-qPCR (CAT#: STEM-MT-1416-LGZ)

Introduction

Official Full Name: taste 1 receptor member 1
Also known as: TR1; T1R1; GM148; GPR70
The protein encoded by this gene is a G protein-coupled receptor, which is a component of the heterodimeric amino acid taste receptor T1R1+3. T1R1+3 receptors respond to l-amino acids but not to d-enantiomers or other compounds. Most amino acids considered sweet activate T1R1+3, and this activation is strictly dependent on intact T1R1+3 heterodimers. Multiple transcript variants of this gene have been found encoding different isoforms.

Principle

Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) is an experimental method applied to PCR experiments using RNA as the starting material. In this method, total or messenger RNA (mRNA) is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase. Subsequently, qPCR reaction was performed using cDNA as template.

Applications

Gene mutation analysis.

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
4. Data analysis.
