Analysis of WNT9A Gene (Mutation) by RT-qPCR (CAT#: STEM-MT-0228-LGZ)

Introduction

Also known as: WNT14<br />The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes encoding secretory signaling proteins. These proteins have been implicated in tumorigenesis and several developmental processes, including the regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. This gene is a member of the WNT gene family. It is expressed in gastric cancer cell lines. The protein encoded by this gene has 75% amino acid homology with chicken Wnt14, which has been shown to play a central role in the initiation of synovial joint formation in chicken limbs. This gene clusters with another family member, WNT3A, on chromosome 1q42.

Principle

Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) is an experimental method applied to PCR experiments using RNA as the starting material. In this method, total or messenger RNA (mRNA) is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase. Subsequently, qPCR reaction was performed using cDNA as template.

Applications

Gene mutation analysis.

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
4. Data analysis.
