Analysis of XCL1 Gene (Mutation) by RT-qPCR (CAT#: STEM-MT-0229-LGZ)

Introduction

Also known as: LTN; ATAC; LPTN; SCM1; SCM-1; SCM1A; SCYC1; SCM-1a<br />This antibacterial gene encodes a member of the chemokine superfamily. Chemokines play a role in inflammation and immune responses, inducing leukocyte migration and activation. The encoded protein is a member of the c chemokine subfamily, retains only two of the four cysteines conserved in other chemokines, and is considered to have a specific chemotactic effect on T cells. This gene and a closely related family member are located on the long arm of chromosome 1.

Principle

Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) is an experimental method applied to PCR experiments using RNA as the starting material. In this method, total or messenger RNA (mRNA) is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase. Subsequently, qPCR reaction was performed using cDNA as template.

Applications

Gene mutation analysis.

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
4. Data analysis.
