The Sugar-Ca chromatography column utilizes calcium-form polystyrene/divinylbenzene (PS/DVB) copolymer strong cation exchange resin as its packing material. It is primarily used for analyzing sugar products, such as beet, cane, and starch hydrolysates, and for quality testing of sugar products. This column effectively separates glucose, fructose, maltose, and maltodextrins from high polymers in typical corn syrups. It is also useful for monitoring the reduction of fermentable sugars and the production of alcohol during the fermentation process.
