The Beckman Coulter Z2 is the newest cell and particle counter in the Z series. After the Z1, this model also utilizes the Coulter principle, the electrical sensing region method, to count and determine cell size. The application of this technology requires precision, speed, versatility and reproducibility.
In addition to reporting count and concentration results, the Beckman Z2 can also provide the size distribution of cell populations. This particle counter is also capable of displaying a variety of data between user-selectable regions of the graph, including the entire size distribution graph as well as size statistics and counts. Additionally, cursors positioned on the graph help determine cumulative counts and cumulative percentages above or below a certain size.
The Beckman Coulter Z2 Cell and Particle Counter can average count and channelize data from a series of up to 10 consecutive analyses. As the number and size of cells counted increases, greater statistical confidence can be obtained as well as a smoother shape of the mean size distribution.
