Highlights

1. The Alpha unit DNA engine has an adjustable heated lid, and the sealing pressure of different types of containers and sealants can be set. Pressure can be adjusted via thumbwheel and temperature can be set via thermal cycling software.
2. Temperature uniformity is provided by multi-sensor and multi-zone temperature control to maintain consistent temperature between samples and subsequent runs.
3. The Alpha unit contains a thermoelectric heat pump and sensor to regulate the temperature of the sample. A thermal cycling chassis provides power with appropriate software controls. Users can easily transfer established Alpha units and protocols from one instrument to other circulators. With dual blocks, the units can be controlled independently, so separate protocols can be used simultaneously.
