Atomic Fluorescence Spectroscopy (AFS) Technology

Atomic fluorescence spectrometry (AFS) is a spectral analysis technology between atomic emission spectroscopy (AES) and atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). Its basic principle is that the ground state atom (general vapor state) absorbs the appropriate radiation of a specific frequency and is excited to a high energy state, and then emits a characteristic wavelength fluorescence in the form of light radiation during the excitation process. Atomic fluorescence spectrometry (AFS) is one of the most successful analytical methods for the determination of trace arsenic, antimony, bismuth, mercury, selenium, tellurium and germanium due to the characteristics of chemical vapor separation and non-dispersive optical system.
