Calorimetry Method

Calorimetry is the process of measuring the amount of heat released or absorbed during a chemical or physical reaction. By knowing the change in heat, it can be determined whether or not a reaction is exothermic (releases heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat). The temperature change measured by the calorimeter is used to derive the amount of heat transferred by the process under study. Calorimeters are a tool used in calorimetric testing (calorimetry), and the temperature change measured by the calorimeter is used to derive the amount of heat transferred by the process under study.
