Cleanroom

A cleanroom is a controlled environment that filters pollutants like dust, airborne microbes, and aerosol particles to provide the cleanest area possible. Most controlled environments protect the production of products like electronic devices, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment. A cleanroom can also prevent the escape of materials. This is often the primary aim in hazardous biology and nuclear work, in pharmaceutics and in virology. Cleanrooms are manufacturing spaces that must be maintained to a vigorous sanitation standard. There are many industries beholden to cleanroom guidelines: food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and even tech.
