A conductivity meter measures the amount of electric current or conductivity in a solution by means of electronics connected to a sensor immersed in a solution. Conductivity meters run conductivity, resistivity, hardness, total dissolved solids, and salinity measurements in hydroponics, aquaculture and freshwater systems to monitor the amount of nutrients, salts or impurities in the water. It can also be used for chromatography, or biological research. A conductivity meter can also be used to evaluate the health status of the natural water body. It is very useful in the field of water to monitor the number of nutrients, salts or impurities in the water.
