Container Closure & Integrity Testing

Container closure integrity testing (CCIT), commonly referred to as leak detection, is conducted to check if the closure can maintain an sterile barrier against ingress of microorganisms and other substances that may compromise or contaminate the product. The method of CCIT chosen will vary according to the desired result like the leak rate measurement of the entire container, potential for microbial ingress, detection of presence of leak paths etc. STEMart offers both destructive or non-destructive methods to meet different test requirements. The available methods include probabilistic methods, such as Dye Ingress, Microbial Immersion and Microbial Aerosol Challenge Testing and deterministic methods, such as Vacuum Decay, Pressure Decay, High Voltage Leak Detection, Oxygen Headspace and Helium Leak Detection.
