Metabolomics Technology

Metabolomics is a science that studies the chemical processes of biological systems. It can systematically identify and quantify small molecule chemicals, including metabolites, small molecule substrates, intermediates and cell metabolites, at specific time points in biological samples. Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) and mass spectrometry (MS) are the most important methods for the detection of metabolites. Metabolomics technology can reflect the physiological condition of cells and the activity and state of tissues instantaneously, and has been widely used in toxicology, disease research and some other fields.
