Stress Meter

Polarizing stress meter is used for determining the internal stress distribution of transparent glass for the qualitative inspection of glass components including tableware, small bottles, jars, scientific glassware, infusion bottles and ampoules. Internal stress refers to the deformation of the glass due to external factors (force, humidity, temperature field changes, etc.). Internal stress introduced during the manufacture of glass components has an important effect on the chemical stability and mechanical properties of glass containers. Polarizing stress meter uses polarized light to detect and analyze the distribution of dual refractive indexes which directly reflects the distribution of the internal stress.
