Cooling Tower Water Testing

Cooling towers use cooling water to efficiently remove heat from a process, therefore providing a more pleasant internal environment for commercial buildings, schools, hospitals, factories and other large buildings. And the heat is removed from the cooling water by latent heat of evaporation.

When evaporation occurs, the impurities dissolved in the water remain and do not go off with the vapor. The total dissolved solids concentrate as water cycles through the cooling towers, which will cause scale. Solids concentrating also leads to increased possibility of corrosion caused by high level of Chlorides and growth of slime forming bacteria and Legionella due to high microbiological nutrient level. It is necessary to conduct regular testing on cooling tower water as it is widely used in a lot of manufacturing processes such as metal extrusion, welding, plastic forming, drink bottling, refrigeration and food processing.
