Description

Histidine tags are the most commonly used tags for isolating recombinant proteins. The tag usually consists of 6 or more histidine amino acids. Immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) separation resin was used to purify his-tagged proteins. Elution is achieved by gentle elution with a buffer containing imidazole (100 - 250 mM).

Our IMAC PhyTip columns are packed with high-capacity nickel-IMAC affinity resins for purification of biological functions, recombination of his-tagged recombinant proteins, and continuous generation of purified samples of high purity and concentration by dual-flow chromatography.

Packed with high-capacity IMAC resin, our IMAC PhyTip columns routinely generate purified samples of his-tagged proteins with sample recoveries of 60 - 80%.

High purity samples
Our IMAC PhyTip columns typically produce His-tagged protein samples with a purity of 90%, as measured by the absence of background protein in the purified sample.

Sample concentration and purification in one
Our unique packed resin bed column design results in the entire sample being bound to a small resin bed volume. Purified samples can be eluted in small volumes, resulting in highly concentrated samples.
