In acidic media, neptunium is oxidized by AgO to Np(VI). Excess AgO will be destroyed by amine sulfonic acid. The amperometric titration method can determine the relative standard deviation of 2 mg of neptunium less than 0.3%. The relative deviation of the method from the constant current coulometric method was less than 0.22%.
