In order to obtain the highest measurement accuracy, DIL 802 and DIL 802L provide true differential measurement. The true difference design only measures the difference between the sample and the reference sample, so it can eliminate the impact of the measurement system expansion on the sample measurement. This measurement design is particularly useful for dynamic temperature programs (such as those used in rate-controlled sintering (RCS)) and measurements at lower temperatures. DIL 802 is designed for measurement under vacuum or inert gas, while DIL 802L is designed for measurement under air.
