DNA immunization is one of the immunization techniques that directly induce the body's immune response to foreign proteins. Different from traditional immunization techniques, DNA immunization techniques allow antigens to be produced in vivo, saving the production of immunogens (for example: the production of multiple transmembrane proteins) and purification time. In addition, the expressed protein can maintain the natural structure of the protein and appropriate post-translational modification, which is helpful for the production of high-affinity therapeutic antibodies that recognize the natural structure of the target antigen. At the same time, this immunization technique is a way to produce corresponding antibodies against membrane proteins or other antigens that are difficult to produce antibodies.
