UV fused silica glass material has a wider spectral range (185nm-2.1μm) than K9 optical glass, has excellent transmittance in the ultraviolet band, lower refractive index, better uniformity, and smaller thermal expansion coefficient. It also has higher chemical resistance and very low fluorescence and can be used to make various optical components.
