Eosin B (C.I. 45400) is a CERTISTAIN dry dye for microscopy that is often used as a counterstain, vizualising proteins, connective tissues, fibers and keratin in sample material of human origin. It can be used for the preparation of the commonly used aqueous or alcoholic Eosin B staining solutions. This staining solution will mostly be used for routine staining in the hematoxylin-eosin staining process (H&E).
