The fluid percussion brain injury impactor is one of the widely used experimental models of traumatic brain injury. The (FPI) is an instrument that can generate controllable and measurable pressure, mainly used for brain injury in small animals. In various aspects such as pathology, physiology, and pharmacology, the related mechanism of brain injury is studied on the basis of animal models. It can cause various levels of trauma to the brain or cortex, depending on the requirements for changes in behavior and physiology.
