Description

Heparin, a linear and highly sulfated glycosaminoglycan, is known for its anti-coagulant properties. Its polyanionic nature allows it to interact with a diverse range of biomolecules, including plasma coagulation proteins, lipoprotein lipase, collagenase, and DNA polymerase. Immobilized heparin is commonly utilized as an affinity chromatography adsorbent for purifying biological substances.
Two heparin affinity resins are available with different matrices to cater to varied applications. UniGel-65Heparin, featuring a monodisperse polymethacrylate matrix, offers excellent mechanical strength, making it ideal for fast-flow operations. Its robust performance makes it suitable for both bioprocessing and sample preparation applications.
NM90Agarose Heparin, based on crosslinked agarose, provides competitive binding capacity. This resin serves as an effective alternative when high flow rates are not required in the chromatography process.
