Description

Heparin Chromstar® FF/HP are two affinity chromatography media made by covalently coupling heparin to an agarose matrix. Heparin, a naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan, has affinity for various biomolecules and can also act as an ion-exchange ligand. These media are used to separate and purify coagulation factors, antithrombin III, growth factors, interferon, lipoprotein lipase, nucleic acids, steroid receptor enzymes, and more. Heparin Chromstar® FF is characterized by a high flow rate, while Heparin Chromstar® HP offers high resolution.
