When combined with UHPLC size exclusion chromatography and compatible concentration detectors (such as Optilab UT-rEX), microViscoStar can quickly and indirectly obtain the polymer's intrinsic viscosity (IV) with minimal sample and solvent consumption. IV has inherently valuable physical and chemical properties, and it is best to use it with the molar mass information of µDAWN multi-angle light scattering (SEC-MALS-IV) to get the macromolecules in solution.
