The MJ Research PTC-100 is a rugged thermal cycler that provides solutions for a variety of temperature configuration needs. The instrument is available in versions for use with 96- or 60-well microplates, as well as a heated lid for oil-free operation. Heated Valve Lids Heated lids mounted on each unit have a thumb wheel allowing easy adjustment of height and pressure. This modified property ensures a tight seal of the reaction vessel and microplate during oil-free thermal cycling.
The Precise Peltier-effect heat pumps of PTC-100 thermocyclers are engineered to withstand repeated cycles. Any temperature sequence can be cycled up to 10,000 times. The instrument's NIST-traceable calibration feature allows for indefinite storage of materials at any temperature. Therefore, the hatch rate is very accurate. This calibration function is also responsible for the cooling of the results after unsupervised operation.
Data storage is worry-free with the MJ Research PTC-100 thermal cycler. The internal memory stores approximately 320 programs and the circulator comes with 14 pre-programmed protocols. Any temperature sequence can be cycled up to 10,000 times. You can also specify a ramp rate that is less than the maximum value. Data that is not properly stored due to a power outage can be safely secured for up to 12 hours using the PTC-100's power failure protection feature.
