Description

Ceramic hydroxyapatite (CHT) is a hydroxyapatite-based composite material with significant value as a chromatographic medium. It features a spherical structure with macropores and functions as a mixed-mode resin, combining metal affinity and cation exchange capabilities. This unique combination provides highly selective and efficient purification solutions. CHT media is well-suited for purifying a wide range of biomacromolecules, including antibodies, viral particles, vaccines, recombinant proteins, and nucleic acids.
CHT is available in two distinct types to accommodate different purification needs. Type I offers higher binding capacity, making it ideal for the purification of small proteins. Type II features a larger pore size, specifically designed for the efficient purification of larger macromolecules such as viruses, IgM, virus-like particles (VLPs), and plasmids. These tailored options ensure reliable performance across diverse bioprocessing applications.
