Description

Ceramic hydroxyapatite (CHT) is a hydroxyapatite-based composite material with significant value as a chromatographic medium. Featuring a spherical structure with macropores, CHT stands out as a mixed-mode resin combining metal affinity and cation exchange functionalities. This unique selectivity enables effective and versatile purification solutions. CHT is particularly suitable for purifying a wide range of biomacromolecules, including antibodies, viral particles, vaccines, recombinant proteins, and nucleic acids.
Two types of CHT are available to meet specific purification needs. Type I provides a higher binding capacity, making it ideal for purifying small proteins. Type II features larger pores, specifically designed to efficiently purify larger macromolecules such as viruses, IgM, virus-like particles (VLPs), and plasmids. These tailored options offer reliable performance across diverse bioprocessing applications.
