NRTL & SCC (US & CAN)

The Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) accredited by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and Testing Organizations/Certification Bodies accredited by Standards Council of Canada (SCC) aim to test and certify electrical & electronic (E&E) products for compliance with the NRTL Program standards including National Standards Institute (ANSI), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and the Underwriters Laboratory (UL) standards.

MET Laboratories became the first NRTL in 1989. It is also accredited by SCC for approval throughout Canada. The MET mark is accepted by regulators, retailers and brands throughout North America.

Factory inspection - The factory inspections based on product, manufacturing and quality management system provide evidence of a controlled factory production line required for the certification under the NRTL or SCC programs. We can provide Pre-Certification Factory Inspections (PCFI), Bi-Annual Factory Inspection or Quarterly Hazloc factory Inspection in any location across the globe.

Certification - Based on the results above, certification is provided to validate your testing. All certification is granted by MET Labs.
