PDK-1 Signaling Pathway Assay (CAT#: STEM-MB-0317-WXH)

Introduction

Phosphoinositide-Dependent Protein Kinase-1 (PDK-1) is a protein encoded by the PDK1 gene in the human body. It involves the development and progression of melanoma. PDK-1 is the main kinase, it is essential for the activation of AKT/PKB and many other AGC kinases (including PKC, SGK, S6K). The important role of PDK-1 lies in the signal transduction pathway activated by several growth factors and hormones.

Principle

PDK1 can participate in the activation of the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway by activating Akt, and promote the occurrence, development, and invasion and metastasis of tumors. PDK1 activates many AGC kinases in vitro through phosphorylation of T-loop residues, and mediates the activation of PKB, p70 S6 kinase and p90 Rsk in vivo. PDK1 can act as a downstream effector in PI3K signaling and participate in the regulation of neutrophil migration.

Applications

Study the regulatory mechanism of PDK-1 signaling pathway in medicine
Research on the influence of various pathogens on PDK-1 signaling pathway
Study the effect of clinical drugs on PDK-1 signaling pathway

Procedure

• Luminex Multiplex Assay
