Peroxiredoxins Analysis in Plant Tissues

Peroxiredoxins (Prxs) are a group of prominent antioxidant enzymes that catalyzes the reduction of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and various alkyl hydroperoxides. Based on amino acid sequence similarities and specific structural features, the number and position of conserved Cys residues, the Prx proteins have been classified into four different families, namely 1-Cys Prx, 2-Cys Prx, type II Prx and type Q Prx. A number of previous studies have demonstrated that plant Prxs are involved in responses to various abiotic stresses, such as heat, cold, osmotic stress and high salinity.

STEMart provides comprehensive analysis services to identify and investigate the function of Prxs in regulating plant environmental stress responses.
