The radiation energy of the light source is different at different wavelengths, and the responsivity of the detector is also different at different wavelengths. Therefore, the measured response current will also be quite different.
The system adopts the correlation detection method, which uses the time correlation of the signal to extract the periodic signal buried in the noise. The specific method is: the light source is modulated by a chopper into a periodic signal with a fixed frequency (reference frequency), then the detector also outputs an electrical signal with the same frequency, and the electrical signal containing the reference frequency is detected through a lock-in amplifier, while other frequency signals (noise) are suppressed, thereby improving the signal-to-noise ratio of the system and ensuring measurement accuracy.
