Plant Elements Determination

Plants require 20 essential elements for normal health and for adequate growth of the crops with maximal productivity. The essential elements can be divided into two groups: macronutrients and micronutrients. Carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium and sulfur which are required in large amounts are considered as macronutrients, while iron, manganese, boron, molybdenum, copper, zinc, chlorine, nickel, cobalt, sodium and silicon present in very small quantities are called micronutrients, or trace elements. The analysis and determination of these elements in plant samples play an important role in the study of plants, environment, ecology, evolution, and other fields.

STEMart is able to efficiently and accurately determine the content of elements in plant samples with a variety of analysis and determination methods including Kjeldahl nitrogen determination, flow analyzer determination, improved Mo-Sb colorimetric method, ICP-OES/ICP-MS determination, and so on.
