The PlateFuge^™ Microplate Microcentrifuge With Rotor and Plate Carrier manufactured by Benchmark Scientific, Inc. features a swing out rotor capable of securing 2 micro plates. The easy to operate rotor chamber of the C2000 includes two plate carriers placed at an angle of 75 degree. This allows plates to be inserted confidently without the need for sealing tapes or caps. After closing the centrifuge lid, the rotor accelerates and the centrifugal force "swings" the plates into a horizontal position to quickly concentrate the droplets on the walls of the plate into the well bottoms. To end a run, just open the lid and the automatic, electric brake quickly and smoothly stops the rotor in about 7 seconds. It is easy to remove the plates from the rotor.
