The Recombinant Human B7-1 Protein manufactured by Seafrom is suitable for T-cell activation. B7-1 and B7-2, along with their receptors CD28 and CTLA-4, constitute a crucial co-stimulatory signaling pathway that regulates T and B cells. While CTLA-4 and CD28 can bind to the same ligands, CTLA-4 has an affinity for B7-1 and B7-2 that is 20-100 times higher than CD28, leading to the downregulation of immune responses. B lymphocyte activation antigen B7-1 (referred to as B7), also known as differentiation antigen 80 (CD80), is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily expressed on the surface of activated B cells, activated T cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells. It serves as a ligand for two different proteins on the surface of T cells: CD28 (for self-regulation and intercellular binding) and CTLA-4 (for attenuated regulation and cell detachment). CD80 acts in conjunction with CD86 on initial T cells, and CD80 plays a role in inducing innate immune responses by activating the NF-κB signaling pathway. Therefore, CD80 is considered an effective target for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and various cancers. Storage Information: The lyophilized (freeze-dried) form can be stored at 4°C for 24 months, while the reconstituted liquid can be stored at -20°C for 6-12 months, with a recommendation to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
