Description

The Recombinant Human IFN-λ1 Protein manufactured by Seafrom is suitable for antiviral and immunomodulatory effects.
Interferon lambdas 1, 2, and 3 (known as IL-29, IL-28A, and IL-28B, respectively) are distantly related to the IL-10 family and interferons. All three IFN-lambdas use a distinct receptor system consisting of the IFN-λR1 subunit (also known as CRF 2-12) and the IL-10R2 subunit (also known as CRF 2-14). Signaling through this receptor system can induce antiviral defense similar to Type I interferons but distinct from Type I interferons. Recombinant human IFN-λ1 is a protein with 178 amino acid residues and a molecular weight of 19.8 kDa.
The lyophilized formulation can be stored at 4°C for 24 months. Once reconstituted, the liquid can be stored at -20°C for 6-12 months, while avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
