R-Spondin-1 (Rspo-1) belongs to the Wnt modulator (Rspo) family. Currently, this family consists of four structurally related secreted ligands (Rspo 1-4), all of which contain alkaline residues and thrombospondin protein domains. R-Spondin-1 is a secreted activating protein with two adjacent cysteine-rich furin-like domains (aa 34-135), a potential N-glycosylation site, followed by a thrombospondin (TSP1) motif (aa 147-207), and an alkaline-rich region (aa 211-263). Rspo-1 is expressed in certain regions of the developing central nervous system, as well as in the adrenal glands, ovaries, testes, thyroid, and trachea. Rspo can interact with the Frizzled/LRP6 receptor complex to stimulate the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.
The lyophilized formulation can be stored at 2-8°C for 24 months. Depending on the specific application, it can be reconstituted using sterile water, saline, culture medium, or PBS. Once reconstituted, it can be stored at -20°C for 6 months or at -80°C for 12 months, while avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
