The Recombinant Human TPO Protein manufactured by Seafrom is suitable for megakaryocyte and platelet production. Thrombopoietin (TPO) is a specific growth factor produced in the liver, kidneys, and skeletal muscles. It promotes the proliferation and maturation of megakaryocytes, leading to an increase in the circulating levels of platelets in the body. TPO signals through the c-MPL receptor and is an essential regulator of circulating platelets. Human and mouse TPO exhibit cross-species reactivity. The human TPO gene encodes a 353-amino acid glycoprotein, including a 21-amino acid signal sequence, 15 amino acid erythropoietin-like structural domains, and a highly glycosylated C-terminal domain consisting of 179 amino acids. The lyophilized formulation can be stored at 2-8°C for 24 months. For reconstitution, it can be dissolved in injection-grade water, physiological saline, culture medium, or PBS. After dissolution, it should be divided into smaller aliquots and stored at -20°C for 6 months or at -80°C for 12 months, with a final concentration after dilution not lower than 100μg/mL. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
