In order to create new products with lower film-forming temperature, researchers are constantly improving their technical specifications and formulations. Therefore, the detection of the minimum film forming temperature (MFT) is an important indicator of this type of coating, and the ideal instrument that can easily measure MFT is the MFT minimum film forming temperature tester.
MFT minimum film forming temperature tester (referred to as low film) is designed and manufactured according to the national standard GB9267-88. It is a new generation of paint film tester, which has many advantages of traditional test instruments at home and abroad, and integrates the advantages of desktop, energy saving, ultra-wide workbench, and accurate temperature measurement, and has become the best of its kind.
Working principle:
A cold source and a heat source that can set the temperature arbitrarily are installed at both ends of a metal plate with a suitable thermal conductivity. After a certain period of cooling and heating, the metal plate is in a stable state, and a gradient temperature is formed on its surface. Apply the emulsion to be tested in the groove on the surface of the board. Under the action of different temperatures, the water in the emulsion evaporates, forming a clear dividing line on a certain temperature line. The high temperature side of the boundary line forms a transparent film, and the low temperature side of the boundary line has cracks or chalk phenomenon, and this boundary line is the lowest temperature of film formation.

The temperature gradient plate made of stainless steel is the heart of the machine, and the main components around it are the temperature control system (intelligent temperature regulator, high-precision temperature sensor, switching power supply, semiconductor refrigeration device), inspection system, drying device and corresponding electrical control circuit.

In order to reduce the noise of the refrigeration system, advanced semiconductor refrigeration and high-power regulated switching power supply are selected. The instrument is equipped with a water cut-off protection system. Once the water is cut off, the whole machine will be powered off. In order to save water, the cooling water temperature is displayed (on the 15th and 16th points of the inspection table), and the water flow is minimized (manually) according to different setting conditions. In order to facilitate users to accurately judge MFT, there are obvious subdivision scales on the front and back of the workbench.
