Shim-pack Arata is designed to provide unmatched peak shapes for high pH compounds. In order to obtain a good peptide peak shape under reversed-phase chromatography, a mobile phase containing TFA whose ion-pairing effect is relatively strong is often used. However, TFA may cause ion suppression in LC/MS analysis. Using Shim-pack Arata LC columns, even with 0.1% formic acid mobile phase, excellent peptide peak shape and separation performance can be achieved.
